Grab A Pumpkin

I’m going to be putting up more stuff soon. That I can say with confidence. I spent the morning at my fave coffee shop; writing tons of poetry which is always a good sign for me. YAY!!!!! Anyhoo, since its been so long, I thought I would update you by giving you all a glimpse into my personal life. kinda …so…. ENJOY!

Life Lessons Are Brutal

For those of you that have been part of my journey for the last 3 1/3 years…you all may be be expecting what fall time brings for me.

Yes I still have a few articles I must belt out, but for many of us writers in the bloggerverse? It’s about to be National Novel Writing Month and I’m about to dip out a whole lot more. To be honest, having Baby Blue threw my process off severely. While I’m not complaining I am admitting that I have yet to finish editing the first novel in my trilogy.

Oh well. Baby steps are better than none at all. Some days I feel like completely trashing the book all together but… what author hasn’t considered that before. #WriterStruggles

Things in my daily life are changing these days… which means a whole lot of transitions I gotta get through.

My father’s bday passed in June. I didn’t feel that jagged knife feeling so much this year as I had in the past.

Mom’s is coming up and so is mine. A.K.A why I don’t like nor promote my bday. It makes me miss her.

Eh… we’ll make do.

My first born… she’sπŸ˜‘ let’s just say, that girls looking for trouble…but … as dad used to say, “Leave em’ like that so they learn.” πŸ˜’

Life is a struggle guys… I’m not gonna lie. I would never come to you with all this perfect talk and jaded eyes. That’s not what I’m about.

One day, somewhere out there my story could save a life, and that’s why I tell it like it is. πŸ€” Is that overreaching It? πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ #SarcasticMoment

But for real tho…

I had to watch both of my parents live very short and unhealthy lives due to lifestyle choices. Therefore, I have my reasons why I eat healthier. My parents were baby boomers… oh boy! What a confused generation WE are. Right?

A lot of pain, a lot of happiness, and a lot of everything. Why? Because that’s life.

Anyhoo,

Despite it all, I just keep going. You know… cause’ why not?

Sometimes as a society we all tend to focus on our misfortunes and disadvantages more. Maybe it’s cause we wonder what we may be missing out on…πŸ€”

Ahhh the infinite possibilities.

However, I recetly saw a post on my IG feed, “Your vibe chooses your tribe.”

Yeh… well it kinda does.

Sooooo…..

CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOU’LL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!!

Negative manifests negative.

Positive manifests positive.

Ok cool.

What It Was Like Welcoming My Tween Home

First of all, I must say… having a tween in the home is not easy. Between the overly dramatic emotions, the demands, and diva land, I’d say the road ahead will be quite a mess. 😣

Since my daughter spends her summers in AZ with her biological father, we decided we would throw an on the fly surprise welcome home party. Only, our goal was to stick with a lower budget. I managed to already have a roll of paper from my son’s painting easel which lucky enough made for a great banner (see photo aboveπŸ˜œπŸ‘†) and markers, which my daughters BFF already had and you’re looking at a cost of $10 so far for the supplies.

Next!!!

Her best friend made her a cake

Which came out delicious by the way. I’d say the cost of that labor of love may have been $15 at most 😁 $30 if you really want to appreciate a cake made by a tween. 😜🀘

Next, I decided.to go simple with food and order a pizza. Mmm can’t ever go wrong with pizza…am I wrong? That cost was $23 for three medium pizzas. πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•

Next, came the welcoming. I have yet to edit and upload the video to our YouTube channel, but I shall soon.

As I watched my daughter rush up and wrap her arms around my 6-year-old honey bear, I realized he may be her favorite. πŸ€” either way, we played twister, compared fidget spinners, attended despicable me 3 in movie theatres, and had dinner the next night at an Asian resturaunt that was to die for πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ

Even though she can be quite the bratty tween sometimes, she most definitely appreciated the effort, and energy that went into her return.

Welcome back Sweet peaπŸ™Œ
